CAD – Mechanical Design
After 8 years a machinist, programming computer controlled machine tools, and 3 years traveling nation wide, and to several countries teaching same, I switched over to CAD drafting and design.

I began by doing updated blueprints for SCUBA parts manufactured by my employer, Jamar CNC, Fountain Valley, Ca.

1989 – 1991: Mechanical Designer for Loma Linda University Medical Center, Radiation Research Labs – Proton Therapy Project. I designed parts, and assemblies for the treatment of cancer using a beam of protons. Later I was promoted to Lead Mechanical Designer, during the manufacturing, and implementation stages. Finally I was appointed a member of the Material Review Board for mechanical components, as the project came online.

-1995: Mechanical Designer, Star-Tech Ind. Manufacturer of ultra-pure chemical generation machines for the microchip manufacturers. Later I was promoted to Lead Mechanical Designer for the company, then Lead Mechanical Designer for the R & D dept, working directly under the Director of Engineering, Richard D. Hudgins.
