Fourteen years experience, keeping networks operating, and designing Web sites that operate as the user interface for database entry and retrieval. Using:

• Windows 2000, 2003 and Ubuntu Linux Servers
• MySQL, Microsoft SQL 7, SQL 2000 Server, and MS-Access Database engines
• IIS Web Servers
• Programming in PHP, SQL, ASP, VbScript, Javascript, and light work in Perl.

A good deal of my experience is with medium-size companies such as car dealerships, and start-up companies. I am experienced in performing most of the duties required to keep Servers operating, including backups, security monitoring, software updates, and acting as the Admin for all the items mentioned above.

Current Activities:

• Network Administrator for Norco Mazda.
  • Set up and install a Linux domain server.
  • Add 55 Win 2K, and Xp computers into the domain, using Samba Server.
  • Provide all users access to the ADP Accounting & Inventory server.
  • Repair & Replace all network hardware, and software when/as required (Except ADP servers).
  • Managed all system-wide hardware upgrades, and software installation required to implement ADP's WebSuite Software.
  • Continued as Network Administrator from 2005, until the business closed in May, 2009.
• Web Master and chief programmer for Enjoya.com From 1996 to March, 2005 when the company ceased operating online servers. This site was located on a pair of computers, running Windows 2000, Server. One hosted Web Sites and the SQL Server, the other machine, a Web and Mail server. The Web server was "Multi-Hosting", operating several sites, including:
  • www.enjoya.com, a car enthusiats magazine,
  • www.agdataone.com Information and tracking for the agricultural industry,
  • www.miatamagazine.com, a Monthly print magazine for Miata enthusiats,
  • www.jblmotor.com,
  • Fallbrook Art Scene,
  and several more.

  The sites were written using ASP/VBScript. There are several unique features of my own design, such as:

  • Complete tracking of every page seen by anyone visiting the site. This data is much more specific than a standard Web server log. Written to a SQL database, it can be used to customize content, monitor the success of pages, and performed detailed visitor tracking.
  • Custom reports of said tracking data including daily hit history for any user, daily page hit history.
  • Automated Creation of "Sub-webs" for registered users, accomplished programmatically during the registration process. The user has complete control of the content of their site, without the need for FTP access. Also, no user was given access to the styles used, so all sites kept a uniform appearance.
  • The sites were completely integrated with MS-SQL for all data related to the site.
